Why you should Choose Korea as your Winter Incentive Travel Destination? Korea's winter landscapes are gaining more attention across the world, especially after the successful hosting of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and the excitement over Korean dramas like Winter Sonata. The views overlooking a vast land blanketed in white snow is breathtaking - especially to corporate groups coming from tropical countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and more. Whether it's about learning how to ski or fishing on a frozen lake - here are a few activities to add into your winter incentive travel to make it more memorable and rewarding.
 1. Spend an exciting winter at Korea’s ski resorts
Gangwon-do is one of the most popular regions where it snows a lot, thus, many people are visiting resorts in Gangwon-do to enjoy various winter sports. For example, Phoenix Snow Park, known for its many valley-style slopes and high-quality snow, features ski courses for beginner, intermediate, and expert skiers.
 It also has a snowboard park, complete with a half pipe, table top, round quarter, and rails. Moreover, Phoenix Park has hosted various sports events, such as the parallel giant slalom and slopestyle, for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

2. Catch a fish in the middle of a frozen lake!
Korea’s most popular ice fishing festival, Hwacheon Sancheoneo Festival is coming up soon, and it invites you to catch a fish through an opening on 40cm-thick frozen body of water.
 Gangwon-do is also well known for its pristine environment. Hwacheon Stream leisurely flows through the Hwacheon area and is famous for its first-grade clean water and is filled with Sancheoneo (Mount Trout) that lives only in very clean and uncontaminated water. When a cold spell comes, Hwacheoncheon Stream is frozen, and ice becomes 40cm thick. Every year, tens of thousands of people flock the county to break ice and catch fish. You can also grill and eat the fish you caught.
This year’s festival is set to start January 5, 2019 and run until January 27. It will offer fishing area exclusive to international visitors, and a sancheoneo cooking site as well as ice sculpture exhibit. It will be exhibiting not only famous pieces of architecture in the world but also a giant Korean flag and ice hotel, such as Gwanghwamun Gate, St Peter's Cathedral, Abu Simbel, Golden Temple, and Royal Pavilion. These ice sculptures with LED lighting will light up the night sky of Hwacheon during the festival.

3. Hop on a sled run by cute huskies at OneMount
You can also enjoy have fun indoors to get through the winter. OneMount located in Goyang-si is a sport theme park that delivers year-round entertainment including water park and snow park, which you can enjoy both at the same time regardless of the weather conditions and seasons.
 There are wave machines, slides and flumes in the water park and you can ride slides and enjoy water sports such as a water gun battle. In the snow park with snow all the year round, you can explore seven theme caves with riding a Dog sled and Mammoth sled, and your team can enjoy various missions together. Santa village and snow hill in Northern European style will give you a unique experience as well. Besides, there are lots of entertainment facilities such as shopping mall, golf, fitness, spa, etc. It is a perfect place to enjoy the fantastic winter land.

4. Enter a day full of adventures and magic at Lotte World
There is a place you can enjoy indoor winter activities in Seoul as well. Lotte World, located in Jamsil, is one of the most popular amusement parks in Korea. The park is open 365 days a year regardless of the weather. A number of rides in Lotte World can give you a thrilling experience.
 In addition, you can stay at the nearby Lotte Hotel World, one of the major MICE venues in Korea. It provides meeting facilities from small gatherings to large-scale events for international conferences such as the G20 conference, so it would be perfect for you to look for the winter incentive destination.
Moreover, you would be highly recommended visiting Seoul Sky and Lotte World Aquarium. In particular, Seoul Sky Observatory, located at the top of the Lotte World Tower, is the world's fifth tallest building standing 123 stories and 555 meters high. As the tallest building in South Korea, you can take in a gorgeous 360-degree view of Seoul.

5. Building a team spirit in a Strawberry farm
If you want more special team building activity besides winter sports, the strawberry picking in the middle of winter would be a great choice. Every year from January to May, a strawberry festival is held all over Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, where many people come to enjoy strawberry picking with the experience of farming villages.
 Jeonghyeon Strawberry Farm is an eco-friendly strawberry farm with special facilities for strawberry picking experience. Once you arrive at the farm, you will learn how to pick strawberries. Then, you can go into the strawberry farm and begin picking strawberries. You can enjoy as many strawberries as can pick inside the farm. And fresh picked strawberries can be packed up to 500 grams per person in plastic containers provided. In addition, you can make a cake with your own strawberries in the experience area next to the strawberry field. This will be a great opportunity for you and your team to spend time sharing cake with each other.
